The mayor is elected to a 2 year term and the City Council Members are elected to a 4 year term. Anyone interested in running for office can see when terms are up for the elected officials and file to run by making an application at the City Office.
Beginning January 1, 2023, the City of Hayward will return to in-person voting at the Hayward Community Hall. More details will be communicated as elections draw near.
